New Shows Take Center Stage to Enhance Cruise Experience
Cue the drumroll. We’re pleased to share that our award-winning entertainment lineup is expanding across our fleet in 2024, delighting guests through new productions, music and destination-specific performances. Here’s a sneak peek of the experiences that will have you grooving throughout your Holland America Line cruise vacation.
Embark on a Musical Journey
We’re putting a fresh spin on classic cruise productions by combining singing and dancing into a new mainstage experience through four new shows. Multitalented headliners and an ensemble of singers and dancers will have you swaying in your seat as you savor the moments of these concert-style productions:
Song & Dance
Lights, camera, action! Set on a studio backlot, two leading men showcase a concert of musical numbers from Broadway, Hollywood and more.
Class Act
Las Vegas goes to sea in this elaborate production, celebrating iconic female performers of the concert and nightclub stage.
All That!
Be a part of our studio audience as we present our take on the classic TV variety shows of the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s. Headliners share the spotlight through a combination of singing, dancing and a little bit of comedy.
Hey, Mr. DJ
Iconic radio DJs introduce songs from the ’60s through today in this concert of pop hits.
Having already debuted on Eurodam and Nieuw Statendam, these spectacular shows will also appear on Rotterdam and Zuiderdam by the end of June. We will continue to introduce them across our ships in the months ahead.
Delight in Destination-Focused Entertainment
Complementing these new shows on the World Stage are unique productions specific to the regions we sail to around the world. That means you’ll experience a different entertainment lineup when you cruise Alaska, the Caribbean, Europe, South America and other destinations from sea to sea. Examples include:
Island Magic
Caribbean cruises on Rotterdam, Nieuw Statendam and Eurodam will feature unique orchestral steel drum concerts, playing a versatile repertoire ranging from traditional island sounds to unique versions of classical and pop songs.
Breton Thunder
Cruises to Canada and New England on Volendam and Zuiderdam will introduce an authentic Nova Scotia music experience highlighting the area’s European roots.
Chordial Chamber Trio and Pantheon
Select sailings on Nieuw Statendam, Rotterdam and Zuiderdam in Europe will feature a classical string ensemble or the dynamic vocals of three European tenors.
Step One Dance Company & Major Fourth
Our Alaska cruises will continue to feature the elite members of the Step One Dance Company, who blend innovative choreography with artistic video projection to create immersive experiences. Major Fourth also takes the stage with four singers delivering impactful harmonies that cover all genres and decades.
In addition to the lineup above, we will continue to feature music clubs varying by ship, from the Rolling Stone Lounge and Billboard Onboard to the B.B. King’s Blues Club.

Wondering what entertainment is on the Statendam November. Any one know?
We were so looking forward to the classical music from the Lincolin, so sorry it is gone. We are hoping the shows are not like the one on Carnival cruise. We were not impressed. We were also hoping for the more Broadway shows. We shall see, we cruise Alaska in September and will get back to you
How do I know if I am booking a cruise with the Lincoln center type performance? Is it just a gamble? Very sad that this is gone, it was my favorite part of HA.
Hi Franklin, all of the ships do have a dance band in Ocean Bar. For classical, currently they are on Grand Voyages, Legendary Voyages and select Europe cruises.
We’ve been on three different cruises since Holland America cancelled the Lincoln Center contract and have yet to see a classical music performance. We’re disappointed enough that we’re going to check out Viking’s classical offerings next month.
Hi Keith, we are sorry to hear about your disappointment. Select ships and itineraries do have classical music, just not all.
What happened to thenLincoln Center on board!
Holland America Line has ended our partnership with Lincoln Center in New York after many successful years. However, we continue to feature classical music on board select ships with exceptional musicians.
I loved every single performance I was amazed watching.
We’re so happy to see you finally offering shows other than Step One!
Saw All That on the Rotterdam last evening and enjoyed it. Looking forward to more.
We were pleased to see new song and dance production shows on Nieuw Statendam. We have enjoyed Step One very much, but it was time for a change.
