Guests Experience the Summer Solstice with the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center
Not only was yesterday the longest day of the year, but Holland America was proud to sponsor the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center’s (AWCC) Summer Solstice Songs event on Sunday, June 21. What better way to give summer a warm welcome than with live music and majestic animals?
Unplugged Live Performances
During the Summer Solstice Songs event, attendees experienced live performances by local musicians at select locations across the conservation center. The event also featured a special performance by Plumes, the French artist and influencer famous for singing songs to a variety of animals for gentle musical enrichment.
Vistors of the center enjoyed this music as they explored the AWCC and encountered over 100 animals representing 16 Alaska species.

This non-profit sanctuary is dedicated to preserving Alaska’s wildlife through conservation, education, research, and high-quality animal care.
