Calling all chocolate lovers! In a confluence of tradition and taste, we’re delighted to announce our sweet collaboration with Lindt & Sprüngli (USA), the makers of LINDOR truffles and the No. 1 premium chocolate brand[1] in the US. Helping to enrich the cruise experience with Holland America Line, our guests will soon begin savoring indulgent moments onboard with Lindt chocolate.

A Premium Partnership at Sea

As two iconic brands steeped in rich European heritage, Holland America Line and Lindt are united by a passion to create exceptional, carefully crafted experiences aboard our fleet. When you retreat to your cabin after Gala Night festivities, you can indulge in our “Sweet Dreams” turndown service featuring the irresistibly smooth Lindt LINDOR milk chocolate truffles or Sea Salt chocolate truffles.

Special Moments Onboard

Get ready to savor unforgettable moments as you sail the seas with exclusive Lindt chocolate desserts, including a signature tulip-shaped Lindt chocolate mousse cake. Tulips are an enduring Dutch symbol that reflects our heritage in the Netherlands and represents both Holland America Line’s Dutch heritage and our new partnership with Lindt. This dessert will be available fleetwide in August 2024.

In the summer months, you can also look forward to the Lindt Sundae including vanilla ice cream topped with a custom-made Lindt chocolate sauce. The sundae, as well as Lindt chocolate tulips, will be served one night per cruise in the Dining Room on the Dutch Day dinner menu.

Cake Me Away

In July 2024 – just in time for World Chocolate Day – we plan to unveil a unique and irresistible Lindt Flourless Chocolate Cake that will have your mouth watering and taste buds rejoicing. Served to guests during our “Cake Me Away” event, which features five-layer desserts with delicious flavors, you’ll experience a new level of chocolate indulgence thanks to our collaboration with Lindt’s Master Chocolatier, Ann Czaja. The cake will be available on cruises over seven days.

Are these selections going to be gluten free so more of your guests can consume?

Hello! We appreciate your comment and have passed it along to the F&B team so they can look into having Gluten Free options.

It’s the little things with HAL, I guess:

Turndown Lindt truffles on Dressy nights (although this HAL press release still refers to them as Gala nights), two new Lindt chocolate desserts served only during the Dutch Day dinner and a Lindt cake served during Lido’s Cake Me Away.

I can only hope HAL didn’t pay big bucks for this partnership… I would rather have that money used to bring back the square flat HAL chocolates EVERY night during turndown.
