We booked for 11/12/22 on the Nieuw Statendam. I don’t see any options to book a private cabana. When you call the reservation line they state there are extended wait times. Is there a way to email an agent for upgrades etc.? Thank you!
Hello. I call ship services to my early cabana retreat for my 28 days cruise ,but we’re told that I needed to book for 28 days for that cabana at $1100,well I just wanted 10 days the rest is at port so that not logistical.I am not happy with that. Thank you

We’ve booked a cabana at The Retreat on the Eurodam for the length of our cruise. The Retreat is staffed 9:00-5:00, but can we be in our cabana outside of staffed hours (before 9:00 or after 5:00)?
Dick Alpert. Yes the “family” cabanas on the larger ships, including Koningsdam are significantly smaller than those on the Oosterdam. Two loungers and small round table with two chairs. Pretty full with four people.

Hi there. We had a RETREAT FAMILY CABANAon the Oosterdam last year which had plenty of room for the 4 of us. A nice dining table, 4 loungers, some chairs…it was great. Next year, we are on the Koningsdam and I have been reading everywhere that the Family Cabanas on the Koningsdam are MUCH smaller than the Oosterdam and have trouble fitting 4 comfortably! Any advice from anyone on if this is indeed the case and what can be done about it?

These are like a hidden secret. Opened the deck plan today – thinking I might find an area with cabanas – It’s been a few years since a HAL cruise. I don’t see these listed on any of the obvious areas for checked in guests – not that I’m complaining – happy to find an opening available – I’m going to surprise my wife with this once on board. Regarding the sunset question and 5pm close – must you leave your cabana – or is that simply when service stops.

Hi, do you get many people using the Retreat Cabanas for Alaska. We are sailing July 2020 on the Eurodam to Alaska and have reserved a family retreat cabana. I’m hoping it won’t be too cool to be out there. But I’d be outside to view the glaciers, etc. anyway, so thought we might as well have a nice space to do it.
What hours can you use the retreat cabanas?
What is the 2019 daily charge (or complete cruise charge say 12 days) for a cabana for 2 people. We have used them some years ago on Nieuw Amsterdam and they can be a game changer.

Hi Julie, one other question – I see in the pictures that there are regular lounge beds that aren’t in cabanas. Is there a fee for those also, or first-come first-served? Also, do you have a link or copy of the food and beverage menu or someone I could contact regarding those services?

When I called ship services they said they could only reserve it for the entire cruise, not just a day or two. They said if I wanted a day or two, I had to wait to see if they were available when I arrive on the ship.

We are traveling on the Westerdam in late May on the Northbound Alaska route from Vancouver. We have booked a Retreat Cabana and a Lido Cabana in the past on other ships in warm weather destinations. Since this trip is to Alaska, can you please tell me if there will be Retreat Cabanas or Lido cabanas? I’m not sure how the colder weather impacts everything.
