Can I buy a drink for a friend with my beverage package?
No. Holland America Line beverage packages are for personal consumption, and you cannot use your package to cover a drink for another guest.
What happens if I still want to treat a friend?
You can absolutely purchase an additional drink for your friend, but it will be charged at current onboard bar prices rather than counted under your beverage package.
How it works on board
Your beverage package applies only to beverages served to you.
Any extra drinks you order for someone else are charged à la carte at the bar’s current menu price.
Bar staff will ask to see your stateroom keycard during service so the system can verify package eligibility tied to your folio.
