Pass through Kristiansund and head south for 1½ hours across a system of bridges and tunnels connecting Norway's many islands.
In Molde, the City of Roses, you will take in the fantastic view of the city, the sea and the Romsdal Alps. Molde has been rebuilt twice this century, after a raging fire in 1916 and in 1946 after World War II.
Visit the Romsdal Open Air Museum, complete with historical buildings from Molde's past, before lunch at a local restaurant.
A breathtaking coastal drive follows with a short stop in the little fishing village of Bud. You will drive the gloriously scenic Atlantic Ocean Road — one of Norway's most-visited attractions.
