A short drive from the pier brings you to Dunn's River Falls for an exhilarating climb up this 600-foot natural limestone staircase. Guides provide assistance, taking you along the best route and pointing out the many cool plunge pools you can slide into as you journey upwards.
Jamaica is often called "the Land of Wood and Water," and there is no more perfect representation of this than at Reggae Hill. Situated on the banks of the beautiful White River in Ocho Rios, Reggae Hill is a lovely hidden gem in a lush tropical setting. Here, you can participate in a favorite Jamaican pastime -- river swimming. Stroll along the riverbank, jump in for a swim, or dip your toes in the cool spring water. Sink into a chair surrounded by fragrant blooms and experience Jamaican hospitality. The soft sounds of reggae music play throughout the property, creating a relaxed atmosphere with a cool Jamaican vibe. Enjoy light entertainment, including line dancing and handcrafted cocktail demonstrations. Savor a Jamaican tapas lunch with rum punch and lemonade.
If time permits, there will be a stop for shopping on the way back to the ship.
Notes:
Dunn’s River Falls are slippery; guests who are pregnant or have a heart, back or neck condition should not attempt to climb them. Jumping from the falls is not permitted. Due to the falls’ popularity, you may encounter long lines at the entrance and crowds once inside the falls area. Lockers are available at the falls for a nominal fee. Rubber-soled, closed-toe shoes are required -- aqua shoes can be purchased from your tour guide or bring yours with you. Do not wear sunscreen or jewelry, as these can injure the dolphins’ skin. Waiver must be signed and medical conditions disclosed. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Minimum age is 6 years. Minimum age to drink alcohol is 18 years, with a companion aged 21 years or older.
