Enjoy a delightful stroll through the historic plantation town of Pa'ia -- a charming, funky, and laid-back surf community. Colorful storefronts line the streets -- an eclectic mix of boutiques, art galleries, and souvenir shops offering one-of-a-kind treasures that reflect the creative local spirit. Whether you are looking for handmade jewelry, local artwork, or quirky keepsakes, you will find something special to take home as a memento of your visit.
A scenic journey along Maui's famous Hana Highway leads to the enchanting Ho'olawa Valley, known locally as Twin Falls. Set out on a leisurely one-mile walk through lush rainforest, surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. The trail leads to two stunning waterfalls. Hop in for a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear freshwater pools (optional) or simply relax and soak in the serene beauty of the surroundings. Your entertaining and knowledgeable naturalist guide shares fascinating fun facts.
En route back to the ship, pause at the world-famous Ho'okipa Beach Park, known for its impressive waves that call like a siren to surfers and windsurfers. This is also a prime spot for observing green Hawaiian sea turtles -- honu. These majestic creatures often bask on the sandy shores, providing a memorable wildlife encounter.
