Zuiderdam is the next ship to be reimagined through Holland America Evolution — the largest fleet update in our 153-year history. That means the bold transformation of our fleet is expanding, with Zuiderdam Spring 2028 sailings open for booking beginning July 30.
Evolution Expands
Holland America Evolution is a bow-to-stern transformation of six Signature and Vista Class ships, bringing Pinnacle Class experiences to more of our fleet. Crafted for how guests travel today, our refreshed cruise experience feels both premium and personal — with every update building on our heritage of service and perfectly sized ships to craft something new, something unforgettable, something more.
The reimagined Oosterdam is set to debut in December 2027. But that’s just the beginning. Now Zuiderdam is taking our fleet transformation to the next phase.

A Ship Built for This Moment
Zuiderdam is a Vista Class ship designed for the kind of travel Holland America does best. She’s perfectly sized to weave through straits and channels with ease and offers the intimacy of a smaller vessel, without losing any of the extensive variety and enrichment guests expect on board Holland America cruises.
Now she’s getting the full Evolution treatment. So what does that entail?
The Grand Dutch Café — The ultimate in European café culture at sea, Grand Dutch Café is rooted in our Dutch heritage and inspired by the unmistakable vibe of cafés across Amsterdam and Northern Europe. It’s a place to get your morning espresso, a mid-day beer, or a light bite with friends and family in the evening. Zuiderdam’s Grand Dutch Café will be the largest edition of the café yet in Holland America Evolution.
Stateroom Evolution — Staterooms throughout Zuiderdam are getting a refresh, providing the Pinnacle Class cruising experience that defines Holland America. We are also introducing new room categories designed for how guests travel today, including two new Bridgeview suites, 14 new Vista Suites, and 32 Solo Verandahs.
Thoughtful Design — Refreshed public spaces throughout the ship are designed to enhance how our guests connect to the world and each other.
