Have a White Christmas or a Tropical New Year
If you’re looking to get away for the 2022 holidays, Holland America Line’s 11 ships are cruising around the globe. If you want a white Christmas, Oosterdam is sailing to South America and Antarctica where you can cruise among the penguins and glaciers. If an adventure Down Under is what you seek, Noordam and Westerdam set sail for Australia and New Zealand. The remaining eight ships will soak up the sun and have a tropical holiday in the Caribbean and Mexico. Ranging from seven to 22 days, there’s a holiday cruise for everyone.
Went on the Zuiderdam this past Christmas and was horrified to discover OVER 400 children registered on board (yes, I checked!) Last year’s Christmas cruise was on the New Statendam and there were perhaps TWO. My husband and I go on this cruise line for the absence of children. This trip was a disappointment. the dance floor filled with jumping children — parents just watching from the sidelines with cameras. All dancing couples left the floor for fear of tripping over running children, several in diapers. even though it was a bar, accompanied toddlers were apparently fine to be there. Will avoid this ship next Holiday season.
Let’s try Moroccan Berber Omelette ( eggs, tomato, onion and spices )
