Discover the magical pueblos (old towns) of Mexico. Start with a scenic drive to famous Nogueras, where you will feel as if you have stepped back in time. The vegetation and narrow streets of this very picturesque small village are quite stunning.
Visit the Nogueras Museum, housed in an old, colonial-style Mexican hacienda.
A drive through the famous Magic Zone is an uncommon experience. From a distance, you will see the impressive active Fire Volcano and the dormant Nevado de Colima (weather permitting).
Next up is Comala -- a mixed-race town where the fusion between the pre-Hispanic culture of the West and that of the colonists has jointly influenced the inhabitants' lifestyle. This intriguing blend has been preserved and enriched for more than five centuries.
Comala is a Historical Monument. Enjoy a Mexican botana (snack lunch) and two beverages here.
Notes:
Wear comfortable shoes. Bring a light jacket. This is a trip into old Mexico and is quite simple, with no commercial shopping opportunities.
