Travel approximately two hours south of Darwin to Litchfield National Park. This fascinating, beautiful area was originally the home of the Aboriginal Wagait people.
You will visit the famous Termite Mounds here. One of Litchfield's most unusual sights, this is a collection of hundreds of termite mounds standing more six feet tall in a wide swath of otherwise empty ground. It has the appearance of tombstones in a graveyard.
Pause for a casual buffet lunch served in rustic surroundings at the Litchfield Café.
After lunch, drive to Wangi Falls. The falls flow into a large, waterhole surrounded by lush monsoonal rain forest, making them Litchfield National Park's most popular attraction and a great spot to take photos.
