Holland America Line took home top honors at Seatrade Cruise Global’s F&B@Sea Awards April 10, 2025, winning the coveted “Best Beverage Programme” category. This prestigious award recognizes the cruise line that sets the standard for excellence with a diverse and exceptional selection of beverages, enhancing the onboard experience for guests.
“It’s a tremendous honor to have our beverage program recognized as the best at sea,” said Drew Foulk, senior manager of beverage and dining operations and innovation at Holland America Line. “This award shows the dedication and creativity of our beverage team, who work hard to make our onboard offerings stand out. We’re committed to thinking of fresh, new ideas to make sure our guests have an unforgettable experience on every voyage.”
In recent years, Holland America Line has made significant investments in its beverage program. In addition to launching an expanded single barrel whiskey program, the cruise line features global beverage partnerships with award-winning bartenders and beverage experts including Sam Ross, Ivy Mix, David Wondrich, Jeff “Beachbum” Berry and Tess Posthumus; showcases a rum ambassador program for cruises in the Caribbean; and offers a unique menu with a selection of regional beverages that reflect the destinations where the ships are sailing.
Holland America Line also released its own branded sparkling wine, partnered with local breweries to create exclusive beers available only on its cruises, and introduced an exclusive De Lijn gin produced to celebrate the company’s 150th anniversary.
The “Best Beverage Programme” win continues Holland America Line’s streak of success at Seatrade Cruise Global’s F&B@Sea Awards. In 2024, the cruise line won the “Most Sustainable F&B Program” award, solidifying its reputation for excellence in food and beverage offerings.
Holland America Line will further its initiatives to bring fresh and innovative beverage offerings to its guests, with more exciting developments planned for 2025.
