Holland America Line has once again received Cruise Critic’s award for “Best Service” (Ocean Category), the first cruise line to win the award four years in a row. Cruise Critic’s Best in Cruise Awards are selected by the site’s team of cruise experts and based on ratings and reviews from travelers.

It was smooth sailing as Holland America Line’s float cruised through the streets of New York this morning in the 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®. The Alaska-themed showstopper featured multi-platinum singer-songwriter Jewel — an Alaska native — who performed her hit “You Were Meant For Me” during the television broadcast in front of iconic Macy’s Herald Square flagship.

With longer cruises and new overnight stays in Australia and Fiji, Holland America Line launched its 2027-2028 Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific season. These itineraries, ranging from 14 to 35 days, promise deep immersion in the region’s wonders, from vibrant coral reefs to dramatic volcanoes and bucket-list destinations like Bora Bora and New Zealand’s Bay of Islands.

Holland America Line is proud to announce the creation of a new and exclusive tulip, celebrating the cruise line’s Dutch heritage and maritime legacy. The tulip will make its official debut in April 2026, symbolizing Holland America’s revitalization of its cherished traditions and the company’s enduring connection to the Netherlands, where it was founded in Rotterdam in 1873.

Travelers eager to lock in the best cruise deals of the season can get a head start with Holland America Line’s exclusive Black Friday presale event. Guests who sign up on HollandAmerica.com will receive a code to gain early access to the presale that runs from Nov. 12 -19 before opening to the public Nov. 20. Signing up early allows guests to book their preferred itineraries earlier but at the Black Friday sale prices. Holland America Line’s Black Friday offer runs through Dec. 4, 2025.

Holland America Line’s Zuiderdam arrived at Ocho Rios, Jamaica, this morning, bringing aid, team member volunteers and guests as the country continues its recovery following Hurricane Melissa. 

It’s curtains up for the new “Fosse and Verdon, The Duet That Changed Broadway” production aboard Holland America Line’s Koningsdam. Produced in partnership with RWS Global, the show—which was reconstructed by The Verdon Fosse Legacy^® and choreographed by Dylis Croman & Alyssa Epstein—debuted on board, showcasing the all-new live musical and multimedia tribute celebrating the revolutionary work of Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon. 

Holland America Line is immersing guests in the heart of Mexican culture with the addition of Cultural Ambassadors who will join all Mexico cruises aboard Nieuw Amsterdam during the 2025–2026 season. The program brings Mexico’s vibrant traditions, flavors and artistry to life at sea through authentic onboard experiences — from engaging lectures to interactive workshops around dance, art and language.

Who better to craft a cocktail inspired by Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice” than a world-renowned punch expert with ties to the Jane Austen Society? Holland America Line turned to its Culinary Ambassador and beverage historian David Wondrich to create a drink in the spirit of the Regency era that captures the elegance and charm of Austen’s world.
