Holland America Line will expand its presence in Northern Europe with a third dedicated ship in 2027, providing guests with more chances to discover the region with a cruise line known for its deep-rooted expertise in the area. Guests embarking on one of the cruises can expect to discover the sparkling cities and otherworldly beauty of Scandinavia, Greenland, the Baltics and the British Isles — while also enjoying an authentic onboard experience. 

Today, Holland America Line announced a new slate of cruises taking guests to prime locations throughout Europe to witness some of nature’s most stunning phenomena. Those seeking to sail in the shadow of the sun during the 2027 solar eclipse can now book one of two cruises departing summer of 2027. Also available for booking are three newly opened sailings offering guests a chance to catch a glimpse of the elusive Northern Lights. 

Holland America Line is partnering with Art of Tea to elevate its Royal Dutch Tea, Regional Afternoon Tea and Standard Afternoon Tea services with a custom blend that celebrates the cruise line’s Dutch heritage. Handcrafted with the finest botanicals, this blend captures the warmth, authenticity and flavor of a classic Dutch tea experience, bringing together history, craftsmanship and indulgence.

On Friday, May 16, 2025, Holland America Line and Flynn Cruiseport Boston welcomed a group of hospitality students from Greater Lowell Technical High School aboard Zuiderdam for a behind-the-scenes look at careers in the maritime and cruise industry. 

Holland America Line’s Standby Program is in full force this summer for flexible travelers looking for last-minute travel deals. The program allows guests to take advantage of cancellations on voyages departing from nearby ports, including Boston and Seattle in the United States, and Quebec City, Montreal and Vancouver in Canada. 

Holland America Line is blending world-class travel and exceptional culinary experiences  with new "Culinary Ambassador" cruises in 2025 and 2026.     These special sailings on segments of Grand Voyages and other select cruises will feature exclusive experiences hosted by one of Holland America Line’s Culinary Ambassadors — a collection of world-renowned chefs, beverage experts and culinary visionaries who enrich the onboard dining and beverage offerings fleetwide through signature dishes and cocktail recipes.

Holland America Line continues its long-standing commitment to celebrate Alaska’s wildlife and wilderness by expanding its partnership with the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center (AWCC)—a renowned nonprofit sanctuary dedicated to preserving Alaska’s wildlife through conservation, education, research, and quality animal care. As part of the 2025 Alaska cruise season, Holland America Line will introduce a variety of onboard activities designed to benefit AWCC and raise awareness of Alaska wildlife among guests. 

On May 2, Holland America Line hosted a special ceremony onboard Rotterdam to honor Joska, the first service dog to become a 5-Star Mariner and receive the prestigious Platinum Medallion from the cruise line. Joska, who passed away in February 2025 at the age of 12, was more than just a guide dog; she was a beloved companion to Cornelia and Cornelis Marinussen, spending much of her life aboard Holland America Line ships with her human family.
