Begin your tour of one of Scotland’s most beautiful areas with a drive that follows the south side of the Firth of Forth and then turns west to enter The Trossachs Trail that has often been described as "Scotland in Miniature" Following the
Trail through the village of Thornhill, pass the Lake of Menteith (Scotland's only Lake!), through Aberfoyle and to start the climb up the spectacular Dukes Pass. You’ll have wonderful views of Loch Achray and Loch Venacher before arriving at Kilmahog to see the Highland Cattle (or coos!).
Continue to the charming town of Callandar, where you’ll have some free time to explore and perhaps purchase a souvenir of Scotland.
Back on onboard your coach, complete the circle of The Trossachs Trail, heading into the City of Stirling for a photo stop below Stirling Castle next to the Kings Knot - the ancient hunting ground of the Scottish Kings. Continue your drive around the edge of Stirling (a city of great strategic military and political importance in centuries gone by) getting views, in passing, of the old Stirling Bridge (where in 1297 William Wallace led the Scots to victory), the Wallace Monument (completed in 1869, after eight years of construction, the 220-foot-tallsits prominently on Abbey Craig) and Bannockburn Battle Field (the site of Robert the Bruce's decisive victory in 1314) before returning to South Queensferry.
