A warm and welcoming staff greets you aboard the Spirit of St Maarten, a custom-built, 114-foot wooden schooner.
Set off with a welcome tropical juice in hand. The boat navigates the crystal-clear waters of the southern coast of St Maarten, passing the picturesque beaches and bays of the Leeward Islands en route to Mullet Bay. In this premier snorkeling destination, colorful corals, sponges and bright urchins live with an endless array of tropical fish. You can take one of the kayaks or paddleboards for a spin.
Refresh with a chef-prepared freshly grilled lunch and open bar.
On your return trip, sail past Maho Beach -- famed for the airplanes that fly spectacularly low overhead (sightings not guaranteed) -- and back to Philipsburg with wonderful memories of this first-class day.
Notes:
Wear soft-soled shoes. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Masks, fins, snorkel, kayak, paddleboard, reef board, daybeds, dedicated restrooms, freshwater shower and easy-access boarding stairs included. Sightings of low-flying aircraft at Maho Beach are not guaranteed. Part of the proceeds from this tour are dedicated to supporting development projects for young people in St Maarten. Minimum age is 10 years.
