The natural beauty of St Maarten is right at your feet on this hike along the coast.
Take a motorcoach ride through Philipsburg, the capital of the Dutch side of St Maarten, en route to the beautiful Guana Bay residential area. Meet your guide at the lookout point for an orientation to the area. Take a bottle of water and begin your hike along the single-track trails past the rugged Eastern coastline's natural rock formations. Walk along the rocky and grassy trails overlooking the rough seas below. Enjoy spectacular views of Geneve Bay and the neighboring islands of St Barth's, the deserted Isle de Fourche, and Pelican Rock.
Take a short break on Geneve Bay's rocky beach while listening to the relaxing sounds of the surf.
Notes:
Hiking distance is approximately 2.5 miles. Participants must be fit and able to handle steep terrain. This intermediate hike includes short, steep climbs and descents along narrow paths. Not advisable for guests with mobility limitations. Guests with a heart condition are not allowed to participate. Transportation, use of a hip pack, a bottle of water and a cold beverage are included. Wear comfortable closed-toe walking or hiking shoes. Minimum age is 9 years. Maximum weight allowed is 265 lbs.
