Three exciting experiences are packed into this tour -- the Soualiga Sky Explorer chairlift, the Serenity Hill zip-line, and surfing down the mountain on an inner tube.
Board air-conditioned transportation at the dock for a 30-minute ride to Rockland Estate. Step into the plantation house, built in the 1700s, to learn the powerful story of Trace Wilson, born into slavery on the estate in 1818. His descendant, Emilio Wilson, purchased the property to educate current and future generations about the conditions of plantation life and the customs, traditions and history of St Maarten.
Hop on a chair on the Soualiga Sky Explorer for a 25-minute ride to the top of Sentry Hill -- St Maarten's highest elevation at 1,125 feet. A series of platforms encircle the mountaintop showcasing 360-degree views of the whole island. On a clear day, you'll see the neighboring islands Saba, St Eustatius, St Barths and Anguilla. Gear up here for your Sentry Hill Zip-Line flight over the mountain ridge.
To complete your top-to-bottom adventure, head to the Schooner Ride. This involves surfing down the mountain in an inner tube around the curves and along the straightaways of a specially-designed track.
After your fun-filled adventure, select your favorite photo and video (at your own expense); then, enjoy exploring the estate.
You'll have time to purchase St Maarten delicacies, snacks and beverages at the restaurant (at your own expense) if you wish.
Board the air-conditioned shuttle to return to the ship.
