Walk, listen, see and taste on this guided food tour of 350-year-old Charlotte Amalie. Dig deep into the island's rich past of pirates, rum and delicious homemade cakes.
A short panoramic drive brings you to the capital of St Thomas. Take your taste buds for a stroll through town, where your guide will point out historic sites such as the 99 Steps and the Fort Christian Museum. You'll see Emancipation Park, commemorating the 1848 emancipation of slaves in the Danish West Indies.
Step inside at a local café for a flavorful taste of a Caribbean-Creole dish.
At a charming local pub, you'll learn how to make a Painkiller. This rum-based tropical cocktail was born in the Virgin Islands in the 1970s and is now legendary among sailors and vacationers. Handcrafted with coconut cream, pineapple juice and orange juice, it's sure to relieve all stresses. A non-alcoholic version is available.
Your last stop is at an iconic St Thomas restaurant for a sweet finish -- the owner's special presentation of Bananas Foster with fire and rum.
By the end of the tour, you'll be navigating this little slice of paradise and its delicious eats like a pro.
