Climb to 2,000 feet above sea level on a gondola ride that will plunge you into the thick of the Caribbean coastal forest, past ancient trees, tenacious vines and animated birdlife.
La Sorcière mountain is where your zip-line descent adventure begins. At the top station, disembark for a 15- to 20-minute hike on a trail, which wends its way through the magnificent mature forest, past some impressive buttress root systems and to the first zip-line platform. Buckle up and batten down -- it's all downhill from here as you experience the thrill of gliding through the tree canopy high above the bustle of the city in the cool, verdant air of the forest. Your knowledgeable guide puts you through the paces as you zip from platform to platform on cables suspended between the sturdy trunks of these gentle-giant trees.
After the exhilarating "flight," hike a short distance to meet the tram for the final descent. Suspended above the forest canopy with commanding views of the island, the gondola will deliver thrill-seekers to base camp for the return drive to the ship.
Notes:
Closed-toe walking/hiking shoes are mandatory (no high heels, sandals or flip-flops allowed). Suitable only for the physically fit. Guests who are pregnant or have a heart, back or neck condition are not allowed to participate. Minimum age is 5 years. Participants must be able to fit in the harness, with a minimum waist size of 55cm/21.5 inches and maximum hip/waist size of 127cm/50 inches. Maximum weight is 350 lbs. This is a non-smoking tour. The route is winding. Guests who are prone to motion sickness should consider this before booking and/or take appropriate medication.
