Combine the relaxing Aerial Tram ride, with a short Fern Trail Walk and a Zip Line course in the canopy of the majestic rainforest trees.
Your excursion begins with a gondola ride into the thick of the Caribbean Oceanic Forest past ancient trees, persistent vines and animated birdlife. An experienced Nature Interpreter will point out giant ferns and magnificent heliconia and identify the calls and the plumage of the birdlife that makes the forest, which is a celebration of colour and life, its home. The descent affords a bird’s eye view of the forest and a spectacular panoramic vista of the north of the island.
At base camp, get suited up to experience a trial zip line and a brief training session before disembarking on a short walk on the Fern Trail to prepare for the day’s zipline adventure.
Experience the thrill of gliding through the tree canopy above the bustle of the city, in the cool verdant air of the forest. Knowledgeable guides take you through the paces as you zip from platform to platform high up in the tree canopy. If your adrenaline isn’t flowing then, a brisk hike to the next set of platforms will juice things up a bit before you zip safely and with a thrill to base camp.
Notes:
Closed-toe walking/hiking shoes are mandatory (no high heels, sandals or flip-flops allowed). Suitable only for the physically fit. Guests who are pregnant or have a heart, back or neck condition are not allowed to participate. Minimum age is 5 years. Participants must be able to fit in the harness, with a minimum waist size of 55cm/21.5 inches and maximum hip/waist size of 127cm/50 inches. Maximum weight is 350 lbs. This is a non-smoking tour. The route is winding. Guests who are prone to motion sickness should consider this before booking and/or take appropriate medication.
