At the 400-year-old Wingfield Estate, a safety briefing and refreshing water welcome you into a rainforest oasis.
Set out on a guided heritage walk through the estate's atmospheric ruins and relics, from towering chimney stacks to iron cauldrons once used in the island's earliest rum-making.
The tour leads to the estate's rustic tasting room, where you can sample at least three small-batch rums — recent winners at international competitions. Learn how to detect subtle notes of spice, fruit, and oak like a seasoned connoisseur.
