This accessible St Kitts shore excursion is a perfect overview of the charming island of St Kitts, Romney Manor, the Caribelle Batik factory and UNESCO World Heritage Site Brimstone Fortress.
Meet your guide and accessible van at the St Kitts cruise pier. Head out on a short panoramic drive through the capital city of Basseterre to admire colorful island homes, beautiful old architecture and a few city highlights.
Romney Manor is an old sugar plantation dating back to 1626. Check out the ruins, lush grounds, and a centuries-old saman tree.
The on-site Caribelle Batik store exhibits how batik is made. Browse in the gift shop. Your guide leads you via accessible routes to show you as much of the venue as possible.
At UNESCO World Heritage Site Brimstone Fortress and National Park, enjoy spectacular views of the ocean and the ruins. The lower level of the fort is accessible and mostly flat grounds with some grass.
Purchase lunch en route (at your own expense).
Timothy Hill Scenic Outlook offers stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other. There is some gravel here. Small vendor stands sell souvenirs and snacks.
