This coach tour is designed to be hassle-free for guests who use a wheelchair, for persons with limited mobility, and for their travel companions.
Begin with a drive through the island's capital -- Basseterre. This is the oldest town in the Eastern Caribbean, dating from the 17th century.
Learn about the rich history of French and British influence in Basseterre's layout and architecture, which have been so carefully preserved.
Watch for the Berkeley Memorial, Independence Square, St George's Anglican Church and the impressive Catholic co-cathedral.
Leaving Basseterre, travel westwards to visit historical Romney Manor Gardens, home of the Caribelle Batik Factory, accessible to wheelchairs and to those with limited mobility.
Enjoy the mature tropical gardens, see how the colorful batik designs are made, and browse in the gift shop.
Notes:
The content of this tour is identical to Easy St Kitts. Only guests using a wheelchair can book this tour, as it ensures accessible transportation. Due to the specialized nature of some lift-equipped vehicles, priority is given to guests using a wheelchair and one companion only; additional companions may be required to travel on the transportation provided for the Easy St Kitts tour.
