A guided drive through Old San Juan brings you to President’s Square and the Capitol Building. Learn about the island’s relationship with the United States.
Continue to New San Juan with the Isla Verde strip's luxurious hotels, exclusive boutiques stores and long beaches. Stop at Loíza village, Piñones, and the Educational Center COPI for a taste of a typical Puerto Rican Afro-Caribbean heritage.
Enjoy the views from the Boca Cangrejo Skyline Monument before you travel into the Condado District.
La Ventana del Mar (Window to the Sea) is a modern district with stores, restaurants, a beautiful fountain, and a walkway to the ocean.
Upon returning to the Old San Juan area, you will pass the San Cristóbal Fort, the Fifth Centenary Square, Santa María de Pazzis Cemetery, the Totem, Ballajá Cuartels and the famous El Morro Castle.
The walking portion of the tour leads down Christ Street to the San José Church -- the second oldest church in the Americas, built in 1532. See the Juan Ponce de León Statue, made from repurposed iron cannon balls, San Juan Cathedral, the Christ Chapel and La Fortaleza -- the oldest governor’s mansion in continuous use
Stop by Pigeon Park for beautiful views and Plaza Colón, only two blocks from the ship.
Guests wishing to stay in town to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so but must make their own way back to the ship.
Notes:
Wear comfortable walking shoes. Tour sequence may vary. The cobblestone streets of Old San Juan are uneven in many places. Expect some inclines/slight hills on some streets and entrances. Minimum age is 7 years.
