The Botanical Garden has been entrusted with the important mission of preserving the rich and varied Dominican flora, and connecting it with those who wish to immerse themselves in nature among very pleasant surroundings. The garden exhibits the natural flora of the island, with areas dedicated to palm trees, exotic plants and orchids. Interestingly, the Dominican Republic is home to more than 300 varieties of orchid. Enjoy a 90-minute guided tour, including a ride on the Botanical Garden train.
Afterwards, head to the Old Town for an outside visit of its main museums and sites. Keep an eye out for the wealth of buildings that remain from the Colonial period. You will have some free time here for shopping or exploring on your own.
