Castle Point (Pointes des Châteaux) is one of the most visited spots in Guadeloupe. Situated on the very eastern tip of Grande-Terre, the dramatic rock formations, carved over the years from the pounding surf, provide a protected place of natural beauty. This four-hour scenic driving tour brings you to this riveting and wild spot, where you'll have time to photograph nature at its best.
The cross-shaped memorial to the island's history of slavery sits on the highest hill. Climb it to see views of Grande-Terre and the island of La Désirade.
You will also enjoy one hour of free time at the Anse La Gourde beach. You may use this time to relax or take a swim if you wish.
In the craft village of Sainte-Anne, you'll find a lively marketplace selling a brilliant array of island treasures. From fragrant spices to brightly-painted mementos and souvenirs, fill your bags with island mementos before returning to the motorcoach for the drive back to the port.
Notes:
Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Wear your swimsuit under your clothes. Bring a towel from the ship. Swim at your own risk. Order of sites visited may vary to avoid congestion.
