Board air-conditioned transportation for a drive to Dunn's River Falls. Meet your guide and climb 600 feet of cool, refreshing water as it cascades over natural limestone terraces.
A brief drive brings you to Mystic Mountain, where you will embark the Sky Explorer chairlift for a fun ride that takes you up to 700 feet through the tropical forest canopy. At the peak, spend a few minutes exploring the interesting educational displays about the history and culture of Jamaica.
A short walk away is Bobsled Jamaica -- a signature ride that features a gravity-driven plunge through 3,280 feet of twists and turns on a specially designed sled, evoking the glory of the 1988 and 1992 Jamaican Olympic Bobsled teams. The track for the bobsled run was laid specifically to avoid disturbing the natural landscape, so the trail curves around ancient trees, majestic cliff faces and limestone outcroppings over the shoreline.
Control your own descent with an in-sled handbrake, allowing for either a leisurely tour through the forest or a pulse-quickening dive to the bottom of the mountain. Once your bobsled slides to a graceful stop, you are slowly raised back through the rain forest to the top of the mountain, completing the entire circuit in about 10 minutes.
Continue the fun with a ride on the Ragamuffin -- an inverted coaster ride that takes you veering through 14 twists and turns, swinging out overhanging cliffs. This gravity-assisted ride has four automatic braking zones so you can catch your breath to take in the epic panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea.
Spend time at the top admiring the vistas and swimming in the infinity pool. The Rainforest Sky Explorer carries you down to the base, gliding through the dense canopy, affording breathtaking views of the virgin forest and the rich biodiversity contained within.
Notes:
Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Dunn's River Falls are slippery -- guests who are pregnant or have a heart, knee, back or neck condition should not attempt to climb them. Lockers are available at the falls for a nominal fee. Rubber-soled, closed-toe shoes are required -- aqua shoes can be purchased from your tour guide or bring yours with you. Waiver must be signed and medical conditions disclosed. Minimum age is 6 years. Minimum height is 48 inches. Maximum weight is 270 lbs.
