A ferry offers a scenic ride to Sun Cay, just three miles from Nassau. Here, you will meet the famous Caribbean iguanas. Look on as they scale the rocky cay that makes up their natural habitat and take memorable pictures, as this impressive species can grow up to five feet long.
Snorkel among sunken sculptures, stepping into the water from a bathing platform. Shallow, turquoise waters lead to a pirate-themed underwater sculpture garden. Schools of colorful fish inhabit the vibrant reefs around the shipwreck and a sunken plane.
Idyllic Sun Cay boasts a stunning natural beauty and three fantastic white-sand beaches. Enjoy approximately four hours of free time in this tropical setting. Purchase a drink at one of the four bars (at your own expense). Kayaking or paddle-boarding are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
A lunch of delicious regional fare includes barbecued chicken, fish fingers, peas 'n' rice and coleslaw.
Notes:
Participants must be able to take a few steps (up/down) and walk short distances. Bring cash or credit cards for additional purchases. Prices of Shore Excursions that take place in The Bahamas are inclusive of a 10% Bahamas value-added tax (VAT).
