This accessible Nassau shore excursion begins with your friendly driver-guide meeting you at the cruise pier. Board the comfortable, accessible van and enjoy a panoramic drive through Nassau.
Fort Montague, built in 1741 of local limestone, marks the eastern end of Nassau Harbor along the waterfront. You will also visit Fort Fincastle and see the famous Queen's Staircase, carved out of solid limestone rock by slaves between 1793 and 1794. Next, your tour continues to the famous and fun Pirate Museum in Nassau. What is pirate fact, and what is pirate fiction? You'll soon know! Learn all about the Golden Age of piracy (golden for the pirates, if not for their victims) and Nassau's role as an 18th-century pirate base.
At John Watling's Distillery, sample the rum produced here and learn about the distilling process before your guide escorts you back to your cruise ship.
