Depart the pier for a short walk to a ferry for a scenic, narrated cruise around Nassau Harbour on your way to the marine park at Athol Island.
Once you arrive, you'll board the SeaWorld Explorer, a semi-sub that remains above the surface while its hull, the underwater observatory, sits five feet underwater. Step down into the air-conditioned comfort of the semi-sub's cabin and take your seat before one of the many viewing windows. Look out at the colony of coral, known as the Sea Gardens, populated with colorful tropical fish and marine life such as sharks, rays, turtles, and barracudas.
Following your semi-sub adventure and return ferry ride, board a bus for a sightseeing tour of Nassau. Pass many historic highlights, including Rawson's Square, Governor's mansion and the famous Queen's Staircase on your way to Fort Fincastle. Built in 1793 to protect the city against pirates and other invading forces, the fort is located at the highest point on the island. Marvel at the spectacular views of Nassau and Paradise Island.
Notes:
Guests must be able to negotiate a 10-step stairway into and out of the semi-submarine. Tour sequence may vary.
