Your tour begins with a scenic journey along Jamaica's beautiful coastline. Relax in air-conditioned comfort as your informative and entertaining host(ess) points out the interesting sites along the way -- the Majestic Rose Hall Great House, Discovery Bay where Columbus landed, beautiful, lush mountainsides, and amazing views of the Caribbean Sea.
At the world-famous Dunn's River Falls, you will climb 600 feet of cool, refreshing water as it cascades over natural limestone terraces. Guides are provided to assist you when ascending the rushing waters as it plunges directly into the Caribbean Sea.
Continue to Dolphin Cove. This park, surrounded by lush tropical jungle, is home to a beautiful family of bottlenose dolphins, exotic birds, snakes and iguanas.
Participate in a brief orientation and then enter the world of nature's most fascinating creatures. Get to know the dolphins as you interact with them in deep water. Experience the thrill of riding the dolphin belly to belly. Spend time watching your new friends, the dolphins, at play.
Enjoy a leisurely walk through the lush tropical jungle for an up-close look at some beautiful and friendly birds, snakes and iguanas. Mingle with and feed the colorful, free-flying lovebirds in the aviary. Interact with exotic sea creatures in the touch-tank display.
Enjoy a hands-on lesson on how to make pottery at Wassi Arts at Dolphin Cove.
Watch in amazement as a local wood carver makes ordinary pieces of wood come to life.
Visit Little Port Royal -- a replica of Jamaica's most famous pirate haunt, where pirates roam through town. Browse in the largest gift shops of any attraction in Jamaica, stocked with the widest range of dolphin souvenirs, and visit the jewelry store and craft market for locally handcrafted items.
Listen to the rhythms of Caribbean music, and sample world-famous Blue Mountain Coffee and liqueurs at Starbucaneers (at your own expense).
Learn about Jamaican culture and enjoy the amenities before heading back to the ship.
Notes:
Lockers are available for rent at Dolphin Cove. Dunn's River Falls are slippery -- pregnant women and guests with heart, neck, back or knee conditions should not attempt to climb them. Jumping from the falls is not permitted. Due to the falls' popularity, you may encounter long lines at the entrance and crowds once inside the falls area. Lockers are available at the falls for a nominal fee. Rubber-soled, closed-toe shoes are required -- aqua shoes can be purchased from your tour guide or bring yours with you. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Leave valuables (such as jewelry) in a secure location on board the ship. Minimum age is 8 years. Maximum weight is 250 lbs.
