Discover the hidden secrets of Grand Turk from air-conditioned transportation. Learn about the events of the 1800s that shaped this island gem on this interactive tour.
During your panoramic drive, view the renowned John Glenn Space Capsule, magnificent Bermudian-style structures and Eunice Lodge, where the Proclamation of Emancipation was read. See the remnants of where the famous slave Mary Prince lived. She was the first slave to be set free in the Caribbean.
The northernmost part of the island dips into the mysterious Bermuda Triangle. Hear haunting tales of disappearing ships. See the 21,000-foot drop-off point and the once-secret US Navy Base.
View the lighthouse from a distance and visit the Circle of Life to see and touch gorgeous sea creatures such as exotic conch, urchins, starfish, and jellyfish.
Passing the salt ponds, you may glimpse the flamingos that seasonally forage in the briny water. Feel the powdery white sand between your toes and swim in the inviting turquoise waters of the island's most famous beach -- a beach chair and umbrella are provided. Taste a bit of the island as you complete your day with island spice cake and a bottle of cold water.
Shuttles are available to take you back to the ship before or after the time at the beach.
Notes:
Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Beach chairs and umbrellas are included for one hour. A shuttle is available every 30 minutes to return you to the ship. Tour sequence may vary.
