A panoramic drive brings you to the wonderful 16-acre St George Village Botanical Gardens. The grounds were home to a Saladoid Native village from AD 100 to 900, to a Danish sugar plantation from 1733 to 1917, and to a cattle ranch after 1930. The botanical garden was established here in 1972.
You’ll find a mixture of history and natural beauty with a variety of themed garden areas set among the structures remaining from plantation days. The property is inscribed on the National Register of Historic Sites.
Step into the world of the famous Captain Morgan. The Captain Morgan Visitor Center is a spectacular attraction that immerses you in a legendary experience, bringing to life the Captain’s personality and tying together his story, the origin of rum, and the epic history of the US Virgin Islands.
