St Croix is a quiet, laid-back island generously endowed by nature and steeped in a rich cultural heritage and old-world charm. Transfer 45 minutes to Christiansted, where a tour guide will greet you for a walking tour. This is the best way to explore the town.
Christiansted’s well-preserved Danish architecture and graceful shaded archways tie together many points of interest in the town.
Overlooking the harbor is Fort Christiansvaern -- a yellow brick fort built by the Danes to ward off pirates and threats from other countries.
The steeple building marks the site of the island’s first church.
Your guide will point out the old Danish Customs House and stately Government House.
