Delve into Mayan culture on this VIP tour that takes in the historic ruins of Tulum, serves up authentic cuisine, includes a swim in a cenote, and offers scenic canoeing on a full-day adventure.
Set off on a 45-minute ferry ride to the mainland; then, board a motorcoach to the majestic temples of Tulum. A certified guide accompanies you through the temple walls to El Castillo -- the Temple of the Descending God, the Temple of the Water, and the Temple of the Frescoes.
Continue to a Mayan village, where you'll learn how modern Mayan descendants live in the 21st century.
The ancient Mayans believed that the rain god Chaak lived in natural wells and sinkholes called cenotes. Today, you'll walk in their footsteps through the Mayan jungle and cool off with a swim in the refreshing waters of a cenote. Canoes are available for those wanting to paddle through a lagoon channel to admire the exotic vegetation.
A fresh tortilla-making demonstration whets your appetite for a typical, simple Mayan lunch.
Return to port at the end of this exciting day.
