Take a 45-minute ferry transfer to Playa del Carmen. Here, you will board a coach for a short, scenic drive to the world-renowned Xcaret Eco-Archaeological Park. Swim here in the lagoons, natural pools, channels and cenotes or enjoy a "Mayan swim" -- floating for 30 minutes on the surface of an underground river.
Explore the underwater archeological site, visit the Museum of Mexican Folk Art, marvel at the coral reef aquarium, and walk through the butterfly pavilion and bird aviary. Professional artists offer live performances, and there are more than 40 attractions.
Head back to Playa del Carmen and transfer by ferry back to Cozumel.
Notes:
Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen (no other kind is allowed in the water), light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Lunch is not included. You will have time to purchase lunch at your own expense during the tour. Entry into the park includes some of the attractions. Children's rates are applicable for ages 5 to 12 only. The ferry ride may be rough. Guests who are prone to motion sickness should consider this before booking and/or take appropriate medication.
