This outing is the stuff of unforgettable fish tales -- not the kind you catch, but the kind you see when you put on a mask and snorkel.
Travel to Stingray Beach, where expert guides teach you how to safely use the snorkel gear and interact with stingrays in the water. You'll meet and handle lots of friendly rays whose barbs have been removed for your peace of mind. Then, move into the water and snorkel with the rays, nurse sharks, and colorful fish alongside a coral reef nursery.
Later, head over to the beach club and relax under an umbrella. You can use the facilities to shower and change.
Guests wishing to stay in San Miguel town to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so, but must make their own way back to the ship.
Notes:
Pregnant women and guests with back, neck or respiratory conditions are not allowed to participate. Waiver must be signed and medical conditions disclosed. Minimum age is 4 years. Maximum weight is 250 lbs. Snorkel gear is provided, including a life vest, which must be worn. Cameras are only allowed during the snorkeling portion of the water activity, not during the stingray encounter; however, a professional photographer will be on site to take your photo. The park has changing facilities and showers. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen (no other kind is allowed in the water), light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Secure storage is included.
