Explore the untamed beauty of Curaçao's wild region on this exhilarating coastal walk.
You'll take a scenic 15-minute drive through the charming streets of Willemstad and the picturesque landscapes of the western side of the island to Kokomo Beach -- the start of your walk.
A gentle ascent leads to a panoramic vista of the beach below. Take your time to revel in the natural beauty and take fantastic photos. Follow undeveloped hillside paths past scrub vegetation to immerse yourself in the raw beauty of Curaçao's untouched wilderness.
Arriving at Boka Sami, enjoy a refreshing beverage and take a swim in the crystalline water before making your way back to the ship. En route, there's a short pause to possibly view the flamingoes in the salt ponds.
Notes:
Tour requires more than 90 minutes of standing and/or walking. This hike roundtrip is about 1.5 hours with stops. Due to the coral nature of Curacao, it is not uncommon to find pieces of coral in the sand. Bring aqua shoes if you intend to swim. Minimum age is 12 years. Guests who are pregnant or have a heart, knee, back or neck condition are not allowed to participate. Wear closed-toe walking shoes. Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces, inclines, gravel, coral, grass, formed and unformed narrow paths, and steps. Please realistically assess your physical fitness and ability prior to booking. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk.
