Journey to the best-hidden spots on the west side of Curaçao, through the countryside and past historical plantation houses.
Travel to Curaçao's National Park and take a light hike on the rugged north coast, where wild waves crash into the natural coves and make for spectacular views.
Visit the beach and viewpoint at West Point, where you'll hear about the fisherman's village and church. You can swim here or even join your guide for snorkeling in the bay. Look for sea turtles in their natural habitat.
At Knip Beach, perhaps the island's most beautiful, you'll have free time to enjoy a light boxed picnic lunch and then swim or stroll along the sand.
On the way back, stop briefly at the salt flats -- the domain of wild flamingos.
Notes:
Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. The turtles are wild and are free to come and go as they please. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
