Journey to Panama's BEC (Brand Experience Center), located in the heart of Casco Antiguo of Panama City. This elegant facility celebrates the key flavors of Panama — beer, chocolate, and coffee — and its most beloved brands. More than a museum, it's a fully immersive experience of storytelling, interactive exhibits, and hands-on tastings. You'll explore the processes, inventions, and heritage that have shaped these iconic Panamanian products. Savor the world-renowned coffee of Boquete, indulge in fine Panamanian chocolate crafted from exceptional cacao, and raise a glass of the National beer.
Then, witness one of the greatest feats of modern engineering at the Agua Clara Locks Visitor Center. These locks are part of the monumental Panama Canal Expansion — the largest project undertaken since the Canal's original construction. The expansion created a new lane of traffic with a state-of-the-art set of locks that has doubled the Canal's capacity, transforming global maritime trade and economies of scale. The Agua Clara Observation Center, set in a lush, open-air park of 10 acres, offers panoramic views from roofed terraces and elevated platforms. Up to 400 visitors at a time can marvel at massive neo-Panamax vessels navigating the locks and enjoy sweeping vistas of the majestic Gatun Lake, a key segment of the Canal route. Together, these experiences offer a unique and enriching exploration of Panama, where tradition meets innovation, and every moment tells a story of passion, progress, and pride.
