Your adventure begins with an 80-minute air-conditioned coach ride through quaint Belize City and 37 miles up the Western Highway. Marvel at the diversity and expanse of this country as you encounter mangrove swamps, savannah landscapes, and small villages.
Eventually, a remote country road leads you to the Jaguar Jungle Camp. Meet your river guide, gear up, and listen to a safety briefing. A jungle trek leads you to the clear waters of the Caves Branch River.
Jump into your river tube and feel the excitement as you float into mysterious limestone archways beckoning you into the mouth of centuries-old caves. Who knows what kinds of Maya rituals took place here! Awesome formations decorate these amazing caves. Learn about the trees and jungle surrounding them. Feel the rush of cool water as you meander into small rapids, letting the currents guide you where they will. Relax in your tube, listen to the sound of falling water, and let your imagination take over as your guide leads you through the currents that continue to carve and shape these natural wonders.
Exhilarated from your adventure, leave the river and head up to the Bush-Camp Café, where a tasty local lunch awaits you before you head back to the pier.
