This accessible Barbados shore excursion includes a locomotive journey through the lush plantation fields and mahogany woods.
Meet your driver-guide and accessible van at the Barbados cruise pier. Head out on a scenic panoramic drive to the northern tip of Barbados and the St Nicholas Abbey residence and rum distillery.
Your locomotive journey aboard the St Nicholas Abbey Heritage Railway is a comfortable, enjoyable scenic ride on a heritage steam railway. Wild waterfowl and migratory birds congregate around the lake here. Passing through the mature mahogany woodlands and deep rock tailings of an abandoned limestone quarry, leave the train at the Cherry Tree Hill viewpoint for breathtaking views of the rugged Atlantic coastline.
Heading back to St Nicholas, visit the on-site gift store for single-cask rums and unique products sold only here.
