You don't have to be an expert to join this photography expedition -- it is for both experienced photographers and novices with an interest in capturing magical shots.
This truly Barbadian experience takes you through some of the island's most picturesque areas. It is informative and presents photo opportunities while promoting fun and a team spirit among the participants. The outing is coordinated by photographer/filmmaker Ronnie Carrington, known for his stunning, thought-provoking black and white images and his work chronicling the folk life and landscape of Barbados over the last quarter-century.
The scene for your day was set back when sugar was king here in Barbados. You will follow the plantation/village culture, highlighting the unique dwellings and places of worship, recreation and natural beauty associated with a bygone era. Ronnie will provide you with photographic pointers and acquaint you with the nuances of photographic lighting conditions in a tropical environment. He also relates fascinating folktales and interesting anecdotes.
Your route offers a wealth of photographic opportunities, from the Scotland District in the hilly interior to the foaming surf of the Atlantic. The tour winds its way across the island to the magnificent east coast, where the Atlantic breakers end their journey on these lovely shores. Giant sea stacks rise from the ocean floor to create the silent sentinels that give the Bathsheba area its unique character.
