Explore Aruba from the comfort of an air-conditioned motorcoach on this excursion that travels to the California Lighthouse, Alto Vista Chapel, the ruins of the landmark natural bridge, and Casibari Rock Formations.
It's an approximately 30-minute drive to the California Lighthouse on Aruba's windward coast. En route, you'll cross the island's arid terrain -- perfect habitat for cacti, divi-divi trees, iguanas and wild goats.
Stop at the bright-yellow Alto Vista Chapel -- the first Catholic church built on the island in 1750 by Spanish missionary Domingo Antonio Silvestre.
Visit the 'baby' natural bridge -- a small bridge of rock formed by wind and sea erosion. You can still see the remains of the larger bridge whose collapse in 2005 devastated the locals.
Continue to the Casibari Rock Formations, where giant boulders lie heaped about the landscape. This arrangement gives plenty of material for speculation.
Returning to Oranjestad, guests wishing to stay in town to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so but must make their own way back to the ship.
Notes:
Wear comfortable walking shoes.
