This guided trip showcases the natural wonder that is the Dominican Republic's best-kept secret -- the waterfalls of the Damajagua River. It's a thrilling adventure with breathtaking scenery, canyoneering through narrow passages, natural waterslides, and swimming through caverns.
Set out on a 40-minute hike through a beautiful landscape. There's time to cool down at the first of the river's breathtaking waterfalls, where you can slide into a fresh, sparkling pool of mountain water below for a swim. Each of the waterfalls and pools has its own quirks and personality.
Now, suit up for an off-road adventure driving a Polaris RZR buggy. The exciting route takes you across a river, through mud and dust, and past small villages. It's an adrenaline-pumping thrill ride.
Notes:
Pricing is per buggy for two guests. Only one guest in the party needs to reserve the excursion. Minimum age is 8 years. At least one person in your party must be willing/able to drive. Minimum age to drive the buggy is 18 years; bring a valid driver's license. A life jacket and helmet are provided and must be worn. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Wear closed-toe water shoes (mandatory, provided for US$8 per person if required). Waiver must be signed, and medical conditions disclosed. Lockers are available for rent for US$10. Be prepared to get muddy/dusty during the off-road buggy portion of the excursion. Bring a change of clothes if you wish. Still and video photography are not allowed.
