Drive through the colorful villages of the Dominican Republic countryside in a Wild Truck -- a 6x6 ex-military vehicle designed to travel where no bus can.
With your guide introducing you to the history and traditions of the Dominican Republic, travel through the rugged hills of Puerto Plata with sweeping views of mountains and beaches.
Stop in some villages to learn about life on the island. Taste fresh coffee and chocolate, and discover the art of rolling cigars.
After gaining an appreciation for the people of the Dominican Republic, savor a buffet-style lunch of authentic local cuisine and relax on the beautiful beach at secluded Coconut Cove.
Notes:
Amenities include beach cabanas, a beach bar, waiter service, beach chairs, a volleyball court, bathrooms, lockers, a bar and a covered seating area. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Minimum age is 6 years. Guests who are pregnant or have a heart, back or neck condition are not allowed to participate. Bring cash or credit card for additional purchases. Participants must negotiate 33 steps to access the beach. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations.
