Singapore’s Chinatown, an area originally designated for the Chinese population, is now a bustling multicultural area. Although the physical landscape of Chinatown has changed over the years, traditional notions and values continue to shape lifestyle choices and can perhaps best be deciphered through food.
Chinese tea has great health, social and cultural benefits, and is often used to welcome special guests.
In a quaint Chinese teahouse, a tea ceremony and the associated expert talk you will hear communicate both the cultural and health aspects of tea. Learn how the Chinese brew tea and take in the flavors and aromas of the tea leaves. There is time for tea tasting, and you can spend some time browsing among the unique Chinese teapots and tea leaves sold here.
You will be treated to a local lunch afterward.
