Noordam's Inaugural Visits in Japan, Korea

Recently, Noordam said goodbye to Alaska and hello to Asia, marking a change from its usual Australia itineraries. As part of this transition, the ship is visiting many ports for the first time, including eight inaugural calls in Japan and one in the Republic of Korea during October.

At each new port, Noordam was warmly welcomed by local officials, who were invited onboard for a commemorative ceremony hosted by Captain Ryan Whitaker and his team. Captain Whitaker presented officials with an honorary plaque, and gifts were exchanged.

Noordam's inaugural calls in Japan included Yokohama (Tokyo), Otaru, Hakodate, Akita, Sakaiminato, Fukuoka (Hakata), Kagoshima, and Kochi. The inaugural call in the Republic of Korea was made to Sokcho.

We are grateful for the warm hospitality and look forward to building strong relationships with each port we visit.
