The Largest Fleet Update in our 153-Year History

For more than 150 years, Holland America has pioneered travel by sea. Today, we are pleased to announce the largest fleet update in our history — Holland America Evolution. This evolution will bring the Pinnacle of Cruising to six ships, adding guest favorites, new onboard enhancements, and signature experiences to Oosterdam, Zuiderdam, Westerdam, Noordam, Nieuw Amsterdam, and Eurodam.

Holland America Evolution is the most ambitious update in our 153-year history. This transformation will reimagine our Signature and Vista Class ships from bow to stern, blending elevated new experiences with the guest favorites inspired by our Pinnacle Class. Crafted to feel both premium and personal, Evolution builds on our heritage of gracious service, perfectly sized ships and destination-rich travel, while introducing fresh design, expanded spaces, and new updates that enhance how you connect to the world and each other including:

• Six ships reimagined from bow to stern
• Pinnacle Class signature experiences expanded to more ships
• The addition of guest-favorite venues, including the Grand Dutch Café
• Refined staterooms and suites, plus new categories
• New experiences and enhancements
• Refreshed guest spaces throughout the ship

And here is a preview of just a fraction of what you can look forward to, premiering on Oosterdam in Fall 2027:

• The Grand Dutch Cafe: Among the first Pinnacle Class experiences to debut is the Grand Dutch Café, a beloved guest favorite. The Grand Dutch Café brings European café culture at sea — an inviting gathering place rooted in our Dutch heritage and inspired by the relaxed rhythm of cafés across Amsterdam and Northern Europe.
• Introducing new room categories: We are announcing new room categories, along with adding 76 new staterooms to the ship. Each space is thoughtfully designed for how guests are traveling today, including our new Solo Verandahs. Designed for solo travelers, these well-appointed staterooms offer 200 square feet of space, featuring a private balcony, dedicated workspace, glass-walled shower and the Holland America amenities you know and love.

While the first ship to debut Evolution is the Oosterdam in Fall 2027, we are just getting started. Coming soon, we will share updates on more ships, more enhancements, more Pinnacle experiences, more innovative stateroom and suite offerings — and more of what you love from Holland America.
